Wordless Wednesday: Telephone Girls
Prior to her 1914 marriage, my great grandmother, Isabella Smith, worked for the telephone company in Harrisburg. This photo was labelled the “telephone girls.”

My mother work for the telephone company also. She said when the girls would get goofy they’d say “Bumble Bees” instead of ‘Number Please’. 🙂
