    1. Bob,
your family line is one that I’m currently working on. It’s a bit of a mystery…

Clinton Peter Hocker’s grandparents were Adam and Eve (Hamaker) Hocker. Although Adam has been attributed as the son of Martin Hocker (1768-1862), he was not. Nor was he the son (or grandson) of Adam Hocker (1764-1821). I believe I know who his parents were. Unfortunately, I can find no direct evidence, so I’m looking through church records to build a circumstantial case to prove my theory.

There are actually three Hockers I believe I can connect back to the family:

      • Adam Hocker (1812-1870)
      • John Hocker (1815-1882)
      • Elizabeth (Hocker) Landis Brenner (1823-1900)

With any luck, I’ll be writing about my findings soon! I’ll let you know when I have.
      ~Kris
